Description

Flagyl 200 MG Suspension is an antibiotic medicine that contains Metronidazole. It is used in the treatment of infections of the stomach, intestines, liver, lungs, heart, vagina, and skin. It is also used in the combination with other antibiotics in surgical prophylaxis. This medicine acts by killing the bacteria and preventing the spread of infection. Flagyl 200 MG Suspension may show some common side effects such as dizziness, stomach ache, diarrhoea, metallic taste in the mouth, etc. These side effects are mild and may subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms bother you for a long time or worsen. Avoid consuming alcohol as it may lead to undesired effects like nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, etc. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it. Flagyl 200 MG Suspension should be taken after food. Take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Take it every day at the same time for the ease of remembering and for its effectiveness. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Complete the course of treatment even if you feel better after taking a few doses. Abrupt discontinuation may make this medicine ineffective when used for future infections. If you still feel unwell after completing your antibiotic course, inform your doctor. Amoebiasis is a parasitic infection of the intestines which leads to diarrhoea, abdominal pain, dehydration and is caused by the Entamoeba histolytica parasite. This infection may also be asymptomatic in some cases. Flagyl 200 MG Suspension is used as first-line therapy for this infection.

Trichomoniasis

Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted disease caused by Trichomonas vaginalis. This infection can occur in both men and women but it is asymptomatic in men. It is characterized by abdominal pain, painful and foul-smelling vaginal discharge, vaginal itching, etc., in women. Flagyl 200 MG Suspension is used to treat this condition.

Bacterial Vaginosis

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is an infection of the vagina caused by an overgrowth of bacteria that live inside the vagina. There is an excess of bad bacteria in this condition, which upsets the normal balance of vaginal bacteria. It is a common condition in women and can be treated by antibiotics. Flagyl 200 MG Suspension is used to treat this condition.

Bacterial infections
