Espumisan 80 mg Capsule is a medicine that contains Simethicone. It is used to reduce excessive gas in the stomach and relieve the symptoms like stomach discomfort, abdominal pain, fullness, and bloating/flatulence (accumulation of gas in the stomach). This medicine works by reducing stomach discomfort by expelling gas. Espumisan 80 mg Capsule has mild side effects like nausea and constipation. These side effects subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms bother you for a long time or worsen. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it. Espumisan 80 mg Capsule is to be taken with food before bedtime. Take it in the dose and for the duration prescribed by your doctor. What is it prescribed for?

Abdominal bloating

Espumisan 80 mg Capsule is used to relieve symptoms such as abdominal pain, stomach discomfort, and flatulence associated with excessive gas in the stomach. It also helps to relieve postoperative pain associated with excessive gas in the stomach or intestine. It may also be used prior to an endoscopic or radiologic examination to eliminate gas from the stomach and enhance visualization.

Functional gastric disorder

Espumisan 80 mg Capsule is used to relieve symptoms such as belching (gas expels from the stomach with a sound), abdominal pain, bloating (gas buildup in the stomach/intestine), stomach distention, etc., associated with functional gastric disorders (abnormal functioning of the gastrointestinal tract).

Espumisan 80 mg Capsule is used to treat indigestion, hyperacidity, or discomfort in your stomach which usually starts after a meal.
