Eslizen 800 mg Tablet is an anticonvulsant used either alone or in a combination with other medicines for the treatment of partial-onset seizures in adults and children above 4 years of age. It is generally used when conventional seizure therapy proves ineffective.

This medicine is used either alone or in a combination with other medicines for the treatment of partial-onset seizures. Partial-onset seizures are characterized as seizures without loss of consciousness. This medicine is only used when conventional therapy proves to be ineffective.

Suicidal behavior and ideation

Use of this medicine may increase the risk of suicidal behavior and ideation, especially in patients with a history of depressive disorders. Patients and caregivers should be informed about the risks involved with the use of this medicine. Any change in mood or behavior should be reported to the doctor. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the patient's clinical condition.

Severe allergic reaction

Use of this medicine may cause some severe and life-threatening allergic reactions. Patients on therapy should be monitored and use of this medicine should be discontinued if another cause for these reactions is not established.

Driving or Operating machinery

Use of this medicine may cause neurological side effects such as dizziness, disturbance in gait and coordination, fatigue, cognitive dysfunction, drowsiness, etc. in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.

Withdrawal

Use of this medicine should be withdrawn gradually to minimize the risk of increased seizure frequency and status epilepticus. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, then the missed dose can be skipped. Do not use extra medicine to make up for the missed dose.
