Description

Cyprotol Syrup is an antihistaminic medicine (class of medicine used to treat allergies). It is used to treat conditions like allergic rhinitis (irritation of the nose), skin allergy, etc. The medicine works by blocking the release of a chemical messenger (histamine) in the body that causes allergy. Cyprotol Syrup may cause side effects like dry mouth, nose, throat, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, chest congestion, headaches, and muscle weakness. Consult your doctor if these side effects become worse or do not go away. Cyprotol Syrup can be taken with or without food at the same time regularly, in a dosage prescribed by your doctor. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If your next scheduled dosage is approaching, skip the missing dose. Seek immediate medical attention if you have taken an overdose of this medicine as it can lead to symptoms like extreme drowsiness, hallucinations, very dry mouth, breathing difficulty, etc. Cyprotol Syrup may be safe to use during pregnancy. However, inform your doctor, if you are pregnant or intend to get pregnant while taking this medication. Avoid this medicine if you are breastfeeding as it is not known if it can pass into breast milk. Cyprotol Syrup is not recommended for use in children under 2 years of age.
