It is used to treat bacterial infections affecting the lungs, throat, and urinary tract (kidneys, bladder, ureters, or urethra). It is also used to treat a sexually transmitted infection called gonorrhoea that infects both men and women. This suspension kills or stops the growth of bacteria that causes infection.
