Description

Cefo-L Rediuse Oral Suspension is a combination medicine which may be used to treat a variety of conditions such as urinary tract infections, ear infections, throat infections and lung infections caused by bacteria in patients who are at risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhea. This medicine is not recommended for use in case of common cold, flu or viral infections since it is active against the infections caused by certain bacterial species only.

What is it prescribed for?

Urinary Tract Infection

This medicine is used in the treatment of urinary tract infections caused by E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci, and Klebsiella pneumoniae in patients who are prone to antibiotic-associated diarrhea.

Tonsilitis/Pharyngitis

This medicine is used in the treatment of infections of the throat and airways leading to lungs, namely tonsillitis and pharyngitis, caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, etc. in patients who are prone to antibiotic-associated diarrhea.

Bronchitis

This medicine is used in the treatment of bronchitis, which is an inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes, caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and some Mycoplasma pneumoniae in patients who are prone to antibiotic-associated diarrhea.

Acute otitis media

This medicine is used in the treatment of otitis media, which is an inflammation of the middle ear accompanied by pain, caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, E. coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, etc. in patients who are prone to antibiotic-associated diarrhea.

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with bleeding disorders due to the increased risk of excessive bleeding. Regular monitoring of prothrombin time is necessary in such cases. Drug resistance
