Description

Bral Tablet is used to relieve muscle cramps during periods. It also provides relief from pain due to muscle spasms in the body. Bral Tablet is effective in relieving a sharp, localized pain called colicky pain in the intestines, gall bladder, and urinary tract (such as in the kidneys or ureter). Side effects of Bral Tablet are dizziness, sleepiness, stomach upset, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea and vomiting. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to this medicine. Maintain caution while using Bral Tablet in individuals with kidney and liver problems. Take Bral Tablet with food to avoid stomach irritation. For the ease of remembering, take it at around the same time every day. Do not stop using this medicine until the doctor tells you.

What is it prescribed for?

Mild to Moderate Pain associated with Muscle Spasm

Muscle spasm or contraction is the tightening of your muscles. It can be painful and can last from a few seconds to 15 minutes. The most common causes are strenuous exercise, muscle injuries, dehydration and low blood supply. It can affect the muscles in the arms, hands, thigh, legs, feet, stomach and intestinal wall. You may require medical attention if your muscle cramps are severe or last for a long time. Bral Tablet is used to relieve mild to moderate pain in the muscles.

Spasmodic dysmenorrhoea

Spasmodic dysmenorrhoea or painful periods is a throbbing, aching cramp or pain that you get in your lower belly just before and during your periods. Most of the women who menstruate may experience this pain for 1-2 days each month. Normally, the pain is mild, but for some women, the pain can be severe. Bral Tablet is used to get relief from cramps and aching pain in your belly during menstruation or periods.

Colicky pains

Colicky pain is sharp and localized pain that starts and stops abruptly. It mainly occurs due to muscle contractions of hollow organs such as intestines, rectum, gallbladder and ureter as a result of obstruction by forcing content out. Bral Tablet is used to stop sudden muscle contractions or spasms and relieves colicky pain.

Increase in the blood pressure

Driving or operating machinery

Bral Tablet may cause sleepiness, blurred vision or dizziness in some patients. Hence it is advised not to drive vehicles and operate heavy machinery after taking this medicine.

Skin allergies

Bral Tablet may cause serious skin allergies without any warnings. These events may be fatal in rare cases. Signs and symptoms like rashes, hives, fever, or other allergic symptoms should be reported to the doctor immediately. The treatment should be discontinued if these symptoms appear.

Kidney disease

Bral Tablet may cause kidney problems, such as painful urination and protein or blood in the urine. Hence this medicine should be used cautiously in kidney impaired patients. Close monitoring of kidney function is necessary while receiving this medicine.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose of Bral Tablet as soon as possible. If it is almost the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

Reach the nearest emergency medical department immediately or contact the doctor in case of Bral Tablet overdose.

Heart Disease

Long-term use of Bral Tablet may increase the risk of a heart attack in patients with pre-existing heart conditions or heart failure. It is not used for treating pain after coronary bypass surgery.
