Description

Betnovate N Cream is an antibiotic medicine that consists of Betamethasone and Neomycin. It is used in the treatment of bacterial skin infections. Betnovate N Cream is also sometimes used for the treatment of otitis externa (ear infection), lichen simplex chronicus (thickened and rough skin). It works by relieving redness, swelling, and itching associated with various skin conditions caused by bacteria. Betnovate N Cream may cause some side effects like burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. Stop using this cream and inform your doctor if these symptoms persist. Avoid using this cream if you are allergic to it. Do not touch or scratch the affected area as it may cause the infection to spread. This cream is known to cause ear damage and kidney damage. Hence, Do not use it unless prescribed by your doctor. Betnovate N Cream is for external use only. Hence, avoid contact with the eyes and mouth. wash immediately with water in case of accidental contact. It should be applied with clean dry hands on the affected areas 1-2 times a day. Wash and dry the affected areas before application. Keep the affected area clean and dry because the presence of water can increase microbial growth. Betnovate N Cream may not be suitable for all people. Inform your doctor if you have other active infections and if you are using other medicines for your pre-existing conditions. Betnovate N Cream when taken for long periods of time lead to Cushing's syndrome (a condition that occurs from exposure to high cortisol levels for a long time). This results in thinning of the skin, easy bruising, acne, muscle weakness fatigue, fluctuating blood sugar levels, bone disorders like osteoporosis and hypertension. Any symptoms like swelling of the face, increase in blood sugar levels should be reported to the doctor immediately.
