Description

Bactocef 1 g Injection is a combination of Cefoperazone and Sulbactam. It is used to treat infections of the lungs, urinary tract, bone, joints, stomach, skin, etc. caused by bacteria. This medicine prevents the spread of infections by killing bacteria. The side effects of Bactocef 1 g Injection are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, anaemia (low number of red blood cells),etc. Bactocef 1 g Injection is given under the guidance of a medical professional in a hospital setting. Do not skip any scheduled appointments when you are taking this medication. Complete the course of treatment even if you feel better after a few doses. Your infections might not be treated completely if you discontinue this medicine early. Bactocef 1 g Injection is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Urinary tract infections are infections of the urinary system including your kidneys, bladder, and urethra. Bactocef 1 g Injection is used in the treatment of upper and lower urinary tract infections caused by bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, etc.

Respiratory Tract Infection

Respiratory tract infections are infections in the part of your body that helps in breathing such as the sinus, throat, airways, or lungs. Bactocef 1 g Injection is used in the treatment of upper and lower respiratory tract infections (lung infection) caused by bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella species, Haemophilus influenza, etc.

Intra-abdominal Infections

Intra-abdominal Infections refers to a number of infections such as peritonitis (swelling in the lining of your stomach wall), cholecystitis (swelling of the gall bladder), cholangitis (swelling of the bile duct that carries bile from the liver to the small intestine), pancreatitis (swelling of the pancreas), and diverticulitis (swelling of the diverticula, one or more small pouches in the intestine). How it works

Bactocef 1 g Injection contains Cefoperazone and Sulbactam. Cefoperazone interferes with bacterial cell wall formation and kills the bacteria. Sulbactam reduces Cefoperazone resistance against bacteria and makes it more effective in treating infections.
