Description

Allercet Cold Tablet is a combination of Levocetirizine, Paracetamol and Phenylephrine. It is used to treat the symptoms of common cold such as sneezing, runny nose, cough, watery eyes, nasal congestion, etc. along with pain and fever. Allercet Cold Tablet may cause some common side effects such as sleepiness, diarrhoea, nausea, dryness in the mouth, dizziness, headache, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms stay for a long time or if they become severe. Allercet Cold Tablet may be taken with or without food as advised by your doctor. In case of a missed dose, take it as soon as you remember, provided it is not time for the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one. In case of an overdose, consult your doctor immediately. Allercet Cold Tablet is not recommended if you are previously allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, high blood pressure or diabetes. It is not recommended in children below 12 years of age. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding.

How it works

Allercet Cold Tablet is a combination of Levocetirizine, Paracetamol and Phenylephrine. Levocetirizine works by blocking the action of histamine, a chemical substance in the body responsible for allergic symptoms. Thus, it provides relief from allergy. Paracetamol works by preventing the formation of prostaglandin, the chemical responsible for pain and fever. Phenylephrine acts on the blood vessels in the nose and helps in relieving congestion.
