Algest 300 MG Tablet SR has a similar action to the female hormone (chemical messenger) progesterone. It is used in the treatment of irregular menstruation caused due to an imbalance of progesterone hormone in your body. It is also used as a component in hormone replacement therapy to prevent abnormal thickening of the lining of the uterus thus, decreasing the risk of cancer. Algest 300 MG Tablet SR has some side effects like nausea, headache, abnormal vaginal discharge, stomach pain, dizziness, constipation, etc. These side effects are mild and may subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if they bother you for a longer time or worsen. Algest 300 MG Tablet SR should be used as instructed by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Take it every day at the same time for the ease of remembering and for better results. Algest 300 MG Tablet SR is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. It mainly occurs due to various reasons like hormone changes, stress, sudden weight loss, etc. Algest 300 MG Tablet SR is used to treat amenorrhoea.

Endometrial hyperplasia

Endometrial hyperplasia is a condition that occurs due to a hormonal imbalance that leads to the thickening of the lining of the uterus. This condition is mainly characterised by symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding or intermittent bleeding between periods, not having a period, painful periods, etc. Algest 300 MG Tablet SR is used as a component in hormone replacement therapy to prevent endometrial hyperplasia thus, decreasing the risk of cancer.
