Description
Amlodac CH Tablet is a combination medicine used for the treatment of high blood pressure, angina pectoris, etc. Frequent monitoring of blood pressure and electrolytes level is necessary while taking this medicine. Patients are advised to maintain a strict exercise and diet regimen along with this medicine to get the best possible effect.

General warnings

Low blood pressure

This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with severe aortic stenosis due to the increased risk of a very low blood pressure. Report any unusual symptoms to the doctor immediately. Appropriate dose adjustments may be required based on the clinical condition.

Myocardial infarction or angina

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with coronary artery diseases, especially while starting the treatment or increasing the dose, since it may worsen the symptoms of myocardial infarction or angina.

Liver Disease

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with liver impairment due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Close monitoring of liver function is necessary while taking this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Volume and electrolyte disturbances

This medicine may alter the blood volume and electrolyte levels in some patients. This may cause dizziness, dry mouth, and acid-base imbalance. How it works
Amlodipine works by blocking the entry of calcium into the muscles and brings about relaxation of the muscles. Chlorthalidone works by increasing the excretion of water and sodium from the kidneys. This helps in bringing down the blood pressure as well as swelling.
