Ambrolite-2S Expectorant is composed of Ambroxol, Terbutaline, Guaifenesin and Menthol. Ambroxol thins and loosens the mucus. Thus it promotes mucus clearance and eases a productive cough. Guaifenesin reduces the thickness of mucus in the air passages. This makes it easier to cough up the mucus and clear the airways. Terbutaline relaxes the muscles in your airways making it easier to breathe. It is used to relieve symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, breathing difficulties, coughing etc. associated with asthma. Menthol causes a feeling of coolness and increases saliva in the mouth. Thus it relieves symptoms such as sore throat, throat irritation, or cough.
