Description
Ambrodil Plus RF Syrup is a combination of Ambroxol, Pseudoephedrine and Chlorpheniramine. This medicine is used to treat symptoms of cold. It also helps in relieving allergic symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, itching, swelling, congestion, and stiffness. It works by thinning and loosening the mucus/phlegm, thus making it easier to cough out and relieves congestion. Ambrodil Plus RF Syrup causes side effects like stomach pain, sleeplessness, headache, anxiety, nausea and vomiting. These symptoms are rare and do not persist for a long time. However, if you experience any severe side effects, consult your doctor. This medication may also induce dizziness and drowsiness. Therefore, avoid driving or doing anything that demands mental attention until you know how it affects you. Ambrodil Plus RF Syrup can be taken with or without food. Inform your doctor if you have any heart, kidney, or liver problems before taking Ambrodil Plus RF Syrup. Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Allergy

Severe Skin reactions

Ambrodil Plus RF Syrup may cause a rare skin reaction like generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP). It is a condition in which there is a development of multiple small, non-follicular pustules (bump with fluid in it) on your skin accompanied by fever. This may be seen in the initial two days of the therapy. If you notice any such signs and symptoms, discontinue the use of this medicine and consult your doctor.

Missed Dose

Try not to skip the scheduled dose of Ambrodil Plus RF Syrup. If you forget to take a dose, take your next dose when it is due. Do not take two doses together to make up for a forgotten dose.

Overdose

Never take more than the prescribed dose of Ambrodil Plus RF Syrup. If you suspect that you might have taken an overdose of this medicine, go to the emergency department of your local hospital.

How it works
Ambrodil Plus RF Syrup has Ambroxol, Pseudoephedrine and Chlorpheniramine as its major ingredients. Ambroxol thins and loosens up the mucus/phlegm, thus making it easier for you to cough out. Pseudoephedrine works by constricting the small blood vessels in your nose and relieves congestion and stuffiness. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergen that relieves symptoms of allergy such as runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing.
