Description
Alcinac-MR Tablet is a combination medicine which may be used for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It may also be used to relieve mild to moderate pain associated with muscle spasm such as low back pain, neck pain, sprains/strains, etc.

Allergy

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to paracetamol, aceclofenac, any other NSAIDs, tizanidine, or any other inactive ingredients present in the formulation.

Severe liver impairment

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from severe liver impairment due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

Asthma

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from asthma due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

Gastro-intestinal bleeding

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of gastrointestinal bleeding due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

CYP1A2 inhibitors

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients receiving CYP1A2 inhibitors such as fluvoxamine due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects.

Severe renal impairment

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney impairment due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects.

General warnings

Hypotension

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with hypotension (low blood pressure) or patients predisposed to hypotension due to the increased risk of hypotensive episodes. Appropriate dose adjustments and close monitoring of blood pressure may be required for such patients.

Liver impairment

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with liver impairment due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Close monitoring of liver function is recommended for such patients. Therapy may need to be discontinued based on the clinical condition. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from severe liver impairment.

Kidney impairment

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with kidney impairment due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Close monitoring of kidney function and appropriate dose adjustments may be necessary based on the clinical condition. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from severe kidney impairment.

Bleeding disorders

This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with any bleeding disorders due to the increased risk of excessive bleeding. Report any unusual bruising or bleeding to the doctor immediately. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition.

Anemia

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with anemia due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition.

Gastro-intestinal bleeding

This medicine should be used with extreme caution due to the increased risk of severe gastrointestinal bleeding, especially with prolonged use. This risk is significantly higher in the elderly population and in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases. Report any unusual symptoms such as blood in the stool or vomit to the doctor immediately. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Heart surgery

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a history of recent heart surgery due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

Driving or operating machinery

Use of this medicine may cause drowsiness or dizziness in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.

Missed Dose

Food interactions

You may get a false-positive result for this test while taking this medicine. It is advised that you inform the doctor and lab technician about all your current medicines including herbs and supplements before undergoing any lab tests.

How it works
Aceclofenac and Paracetamol inhibit the formation of certain natural substances which are responsible for causing pain and inflammation. Tizanidine acts on the nervous system and reduces muscle spasms, allowing the muscles to relax.
