Description
Acnovate Gel is a combination of Adapalene, Clindamycin and Zinc acetate. It is used for the treatment of acne (pimples, blackheads and whiteheads). It is an effective gel used to treat acne on your face, back, and chest caused by bacteria. Acnovate Gel helps in reducing excess oil production, blackheads, whiteheads, or painful lumps beneath your skin. This medicament works by stopping the growth of bacteria that cause acne. Acnovate Gel may cause some side effects such as dry skin, redness of your skin, skin rash, itching and burning sensation at the site of application. Contact your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer period. Avoid applying this gel to broken skin or cuts. Acnovate Gel can be applied after washing and drying the affected area. Apply a small amount (pea size) of Acnovate Gel once a day, preferably in the evening, or as instructed by your doctor. Avoid contact with your eyes and mouth. Inform your doctor about any other anti-acne medicines that you are using. Before using Acnovate Gel, inform your doctor if you have known allergies to this medicine.

Use Acnovate Gel cautiously if you have sunburnt skin. This medicine may cause an increased risk of extreme irritation of the skin. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or sunlamps and use sunscreen or protective clothing during treatment with this medicine.
