Description
Aclonova-MR Tablet is a medicine that consists of Aceclofenac, Paracetamol and Chlorzoxazone. It is used for the treatment of pain, swelling, and tenderness associated with muscle injury and muscle spasms. This medicine works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain, swelling and fever. Aclonova-MR Tablet may cause some side effects like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, heartburn, loss of appetite and diarrhoea. If any of these side effects persist for a long time or worsen, consult your doctor at the earliest. This medicine may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Hence, avoid driving vehicles or operating machines if you feel dizzy or sleepy after taking this medicine. Aclonova-MR Tablet should be taken with food to avoid stomach irritation. Adhere to the dose and frequency prescribed by your doctor. You should keep taking this medicine even if you feel better until your doctor says to stop using it. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medicine as may cause excessive drowsiness and increase the risk of liver damage. Aclonova-MR Tablet may interact with other medicines. Inform your doctor about all the other medicines you are using to ensure this medicine is safe. Also, inform your doctor if you have other medical conditions such as liver, kidney or heart problems, peptic ulcers, etc. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Allergy

Kidney diseases

Aclonova-MR Tablet is mainly excreted through the kidneys. Damaged kidneys cannot filter out this medicine effectively. It can lead to the accumulation of this medicine. Hence, this medicine is not recommended for use if you have kidney problems as it may worsen your condition.

Severe liver disease

Aclonova-MR Tablet is not recommended for use if you have severe liver problems because it can increase the risk of liver damage.

Asthma

NSAID-induced asthma is an allergic condition of the respiratory system caused by the use of NSAIDs (Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs). In this condition, there is a narrowing of the airways of your lungs leading to severe breathing difficulty. Aclonova-MR Tablet is not recommended for use if you have NSAID-induced asthma as it may worsen your condition.

Gastro-intestinal bleeding

Aclonova-MR Tablet may cause stomach and intestinal bleeding and ulcers. Therefore, it is not recommended for use if you have gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation disorders since it may worsen your condition.

Peptic ulcer

Avoid taking Aclonova-MR Tablet if you have peptic ulcers. It can cause severe swelling and bleeding in the stomach, colon, and anus.

Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery

A Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) is a surgical procedure used to treat coronary heart disease. It diverts blood around narrowed or blocked parts of the major blood vessels to improve blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart. Do not take Aclonova-MR Tablet for relieving pain due to heart surgery.

Heart surgery

Aclonova-MR Tablet is not recommended for use if you have had undergone recent heart surgery as it may worsen your condition.

Missed Dose

If you forget to take a dose of Aclonova-MR Tablet at the scheduled time, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.

Overdose

Asthma

5-HIAA Urine Test

5-HIAA urine test measures the amount of serotonin (a key hormone that stabilizes our mood, feelings of well-being, and happiness) in the body. Aclonova-MR Tablet can interfere with a urine test and may give a false-positive result. Inform your doctor and lab technician about all your current medicines before undergoing any lab test.
Take Aclonova-MR Tablet with food to avoid stomach irritation. Never take more than the prescribed dose. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Aclonova-MR Tablet as it may cause excessive drowsiness and increase the risk of liver damage. Do not take Aclonova-MR Tablet with any other medicine containing acetaminophen (drugs for pain/fever or cough-and-cold) without asking your doctor first. Take Aclonova-MR Tablet at around the same time daily. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor. Do not break, crush or chew the tablet in the mouth. Take it immediately after peeling it from the strip. Keep the medicine out of reach of children and pets. Do not use Aclonova-MR Tablet after the date of expiry.
