I had been getting my facial hair lasered away (IPL) by this doctor via friends' suggestions for over a year pre and post lockdown. In October of 2021 which was my 8th sitting, the doctor made passes on certain patches of my skin on my neck and cheek repeatedly despite me saying it was burning much more than usual. He told me he was making 44 joule passes, the same he has used on me several times before. *** *** ************ ***** ** ******* ******* *** ****** ****** When I contacted the doctor about it, ******* ** ****** *********** *** ******** *** ****** he blamed that my skin was probably very sensitive that day, and lied that he had taken down the power to 40 joules, not 44. I went for another session in December of 2021, and he said the same, blaming the patient, not his mistake. That was the end for me. I am now left with very visible and permanent scars on my neck and a little on my cheeks, that nearly every person I interact with asks me about. I cannot even cover it up with makeup, it is that prominent.
