Time management and token system is very very bad..please display the token number one by one.you can directly see emergency patients.When we pay you say 1 hour but almost 3 to 4 hours we wait. Bad experience.

Hi friends im here to review MIOT hospital Madurai. Before going in to review I just give you a star rating its (5/5) based on doctor communication, nurse communication, hospital staff responsiveness and cleanliness, communication about medicines and regarding discharge information.

My father has met with a accident in Ramanad during his work. Immediately after the accident he could sense the feel of pain in right leg along with swelling. As we are residents of Madurai my father has decided to reach Madurai for treatment. My father is a government employee thus he asked me to check hospitals tied up with star health insurance as my family has policy coverage. I surfed in internet and found that Madurai MIOT hospital is listed, my father decided to take treatment there. On the same date of accident my father used ambulance to reach Madurai MIOT hospital 3 hours past the accident. My father has been admitted and the treatment has been started as soon as my father admitted. Doctor diagnosed using X Ray and concluded there was a crack in the bone and also recommended for an surgery to insert a plate. After confirmation from my father the operation has been confirmed, the tests before surgery took place immediately after the confirmation by father. Since my father had sugar the necessary treatments started and my father had a surgery as planned on time. The surgery took place on 19/04/2014. Dr Muthuvel rajan performed the surgery like a master as he meant to be. The surgery took place 2 hours. The plate like material has been inserted. After two hour surgery my father has been changed to general ward with good numbers of nurses to staff.

DOCTOR COMMUNICATION:

My father has been admitted there as in-patient for 45 days, which counts from the date of accident to the date of recovery. Since the day 1 till the day 45 there was enough meeting with doctors by the facility. There was regular doctor visits in morning and in evening. Also the chief doctor managed to have more than 10 visits excluding the surgery. The doctors thoroughly examined every day, the necessary changes and modification in the prescription continued. The doctors also had suggestions regarding diet. Physiotherapist was also invited by hospital management for my fathers treatment which was used for recovery. The Physio suggested many exercise and helped to recover my father from pain and also helped him to stand on his own leg with a short gap for 30 days after the treatment with the help of walker. The physio deal with balancing exercise which helped my father to balance. After 45 days my father has been discharged from the hospital as recommended by chief doctor. After the span of 45 days my father been asked to visit the facility once in 30 days which has been scheduled for two visits. The recovery assured by doctor has been achieved within 90 days from the date of surgery.

NURSE COMMUNICATION:

Nurse play an important role in hospital as the doctors has scheduled their appointments, but nurses be available at 24/7. The nurses was been kind hearted and rendered a good hospitality . the nurses often visited the room may be more than 40 times in earlier 30 days and later after healing reduced to 20 visits approximately.

HOSPITAL STAFF RESPONSIVENESS:

Its really awesome response from hospital staff, immediately once they saw my father coming out from ambulance staff took all the response and take care of him and went to the emergency ward. Thanks to all of them who take care of my father.

Hospital was really clean and Good Environment because of ground staff only its possible, Perfect team work to keep hospital clean.

Medicines:

As per the treatment they change the medicine continuously because of that my father get recovered soon and back to normal. Thanks to all the visiting doctor who make this possible and make him walk soon.

Discharge:

As per Doctor communication he told that 45 days to be in bed rest and stay in hospital. with in 45 days he recovered soon, also he started walking. 45 th day my father discharge from the hospital. Thanks a lot Doctor and this Hospital to for all the member who care us lot.

I fell down the stairs 9 years back and had torn my ligament which was not diagnosed correctly. Over the years I have had patellar dislocation and immense pain. I even stopped walking fast. In the last week of October 2017 I had another episode of patellar dislocation and based on what some people suggested I was rushed MIOT, Madurai.

* The moment I arrived the staff took over and prioritized my case as I was in immense pain. All the preliminary check up was done immediately, with no delay.

* The nurses were very polite and professional. I was so afraid and in severe pain and they consoled and me and gave me confidence as they cut away the plaster I'd been on for a couple of days.

* I was then taken to a surgeon who first reset my patella immediately. And I gained the use of my leg after 7 days.

* I was wheeled to Dr. Muthuvelrajan. He just felt my knee and told me very specifically what had actually happened with my knee and, in my case, as the ACL was torn completely, surgery was the only option. ( He made the diagnosis without MRI). The way he explained it to me allayed all my fears.

* After this visit I was sent for MRI scan, where the doctor's diagnosis was proved right.

* I was admitted for and had my surgery on 30.10.2017 by Dr. Muthuvelrajan himself. The surgery was over ahead of time.

* The pre and post surgery care was impeccable. They have an impressive system of post surgery care, very hygienic rooms and a team of staff per floor under an able head.

* I was most impressed with the post surgery visits by doctors and physiotherapists. In fact, the physiotherapist made me walk a few hours after the surgery. There were regular physio sessions for the 3 days I was admitted. I left the hospital on the third day.

* I've had two reviews in 2 months and my progress was good. I was able to walk without help ( by people, I did use a crutch) within 15 days.

*I have followed my doctor's instructions and now I am able to stand and walk for hours as required by my job (I'm a teacher).

To be honest, I DO NOT trust doctors due to some bad experiences. But my experience with MIOT and Dr. Muthuvelrajan changed my perspective. He is one doctor whom you can trust.

Dr. Was so friendly with us during treatment. He explained clearly of the health problem. They counted the urgency and gave us preference to meet him. The staff who are there treated us well. Most of the patients who were with us felt satisfied of his approach and treatment .
