Dr. Sumi K S, graduation from Academy of medical sciences, Kannur university and specialized in Psychiatry from Govt. Medical College Kottayam, Kerala university of health sciences. She was the best outgoing graduate and gold medal winner in most of the medical subjects She was again the rank holder in MD Psychiatry and was awarded for being the best outgoing postgraduate, with Dr. Fazal Mohammad A M memorial award, presented by Central Travancore Psychiatric Society. She has participated and presented research papers in state and national conferences. She has also published her studies done in patients with substance use disorders and caregivers of persons with mental illnesses in indexed journals.She has been an active participant of workshops in family therapy, couple and marital therapy, recent treatment modalities like TMS, etc and workshop conducted by Royal College of Psychiatrists on neuro-developmental disorders. She has been involved in the treatment of various psychiatric disorders, de-addiction treatments, child psychiatry, rehabilitation psychiatric clinics, and transgender clinics. Her areas of interest are neuropsychiatric disorders and child psychiatry.
