Yes, it is possible to treat scabies. Several medications in form of creams and lotions are available for treatment of scabies like permethrin, lindane, crotamiton, and ivermectin. You have to apply lotion to the entire body and leave the medication for 10-12 hours. Treatment of family members is essential to prevent its spread. Anti-histaminies should also be taken to reduce itching.
