I have periodontics disease and part of the treatment was done in USA. I was visiting India and was looking for periodontics specialist in Indore. I found Dr. Shaleen's reference on net. On my first visit itself, I was assured that I have reached out to right the person. I found him very friendly and caring. He gave full consideration to the limited time I had and planned out the treatment for me for implant on one of my wisdom teeth. It has been 2 years and have no problem with it. In my recent visit I was required to extract molar teeth. I had no pain during and after the extraction, didn't required any stitches. He gives personal attention and care to the patient need. He would advice the only treatment which is required and would charge reasonably. I visit India once a year and every time I visit him and not required to remind him about me. Visited the Smile Makers for a post and core procedure and dental crown. I had to drive down odd 100 kms to and fro for my sittings but it was absolutely worth it! If you also hate being in the dentist's clinic (like the most), trust me this one is an exception. A very pleasant and hygienic clinic (lovely smell and music) with great doctors and support staff. The doctors give a lot of time to the patients and follow up over phone after every sitting. An accomplished dentist, Dr Shaleen is very friendly (the only doc I've seen who says sorry when he pricks you with a syringe needle). My other dentist, Dr Pooja, who did the major part of the procedure is extremely proficient and meticulous in her work. She's really patient with the patients and makes sure that you are calm and comfortable. I have had chronic dental issues for some time and have had my share of dealing with myriad of dental professionals from family dental practitioners to orthodontists to periodontists both in India and the US. While getting my dental work done in India in the past, I always found a few things lacking from the professionals working on my case. Those are -

- genuine care of their patients in general and concern for patient comfort during the procedure specifically.

- inadequate or non-existent communication about the problem, options, and post-op care.

- No follow up once the bill is paid.

Dr. Shaleen Khetarpal blew me away on all three counts. He performed a complicated dental implant on my lower left jaw with impeccable dexterity and extreme care. He is a soft spoken thorough professional who genuinely cares about his patients. His communication before during, and after the procedure was impressive and very helpful.
