Dr. Prasad did his MBBS and MS (Ophthalmology) from Calcutta Medical College, following which he spent two decades in the UK acquiring further specialist training and then working as a Consultant and Clinical Director for over a decade. He specializes in Cataract surgery, including the use of advanced technology IOLs (multifocal and toric IOLs) and has special expertise in the management of retinal problems. He has performed over 10000 phacoemulsification procedures and 3000 vitreoretinal surgical procedures in addition to 3000 intravitreal injections and may YAG and Retinal laser procedures. He now practices at i4vision, AMRI Hospitals and Fortis Hospitals in Kolkata and Divyadrishti in Howrah. His approach is to individualize the care of each patient after a full discussion of their condition, thus empowering the patient to be an equal partner in treatment planning.
