Dr. Indu Vijayamma

Dr. Indu Vijayamma, MD (Ay) is the Medical Superintendent and Senior Physician at ASTER AYURVAID Centre for Integrated Medicine. Hailing from a family of traditional Ayurvedic Vaidyas, her keen interest in the system has gained her confidence and acceptance of many. She brings with her a vast experience of 25 years in national and international hospitals. Passionate and keen in promoting Ayurveda among the suffering, her areas of experience and interest are arthritis management, musculoskeletal disorders like frozen shoulder, low back aches, disc problems and spondylitis, allergies and respiratory diseases, gynaecology, neurology and stroke rehabilitation.Her other areas of interest and research are in skin diseases, cancer rehabilitation, lifestyle disease management as in obesity, diabetes, hormonal problems, stress management etc.She is proficient and experienced in the management of diseases through classical Panchakarma treatments.She has been associated with the Central Government project AYUSHMANBHAVA for the management of lifestyle diseases.She guides her patient in correcting the diet and lifestyle by instructing them with simple to follow techniques. Her knowledge of yoga and pranic healing adds to the healing sessions.Being a quality assessor of NABH, she also takes care of the quality of the service rendered in the hospital and maintains strict protocols in adhering to it. She is also a prominent figure in visual and audio media for her innovative talks on Ayurveda and spreading the science among the masses.She holds a graduate and post-graduate degree from the prestigious Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.Prior to joining AyurVAID, she was the senior Physician at Amala ayurvedic hospital and research centre and has rendered her service in established centres in the middle east.
