Dr. Yara Sawan

Ms. Yara Sawan is a Clinical Psychologist at ACPN. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Balamand, Lebanon, in 2021, and her Bachelor’s degree from the Lebanese American University in 2016.Before joining ACPN, Ms. Sawan served at Mt. Lebanon Hospital University Center as a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, focusing on psycho-oncology and palliative care for those on long-term care as well as the terminally ill. She provided individual and group therapy, supported nursing staff psychologically, while also working as a private practitioner for outpatient clients.With over four years of experience in adult clinical psychology, her expertise spans anxiety, depression, personality disorders, adjustment disorders, psychosomatic symptoms, trauma, loss, and grief using a psychodynamic therapy approach, particularly for those facing chronic illnesses. She offers support to individuals dealing with relationship issues, life transitions, self-esteem issues, stress, and other emotional and psychological challenges.
