Ms. Sylvia Sefa

Ms. Sylvia Sefa is a Clinical Psychologist at ACPN. She completed her master’s degree in clinical psychology at Deakin University, Australia in 2016 and her undergraduate studies in psychology from Victoria University, Australia in 2014. She is a licensed psychologist practitioner with Australia’s AHPRA, and the UAE’s DHA.With over seven years of practice as a clinical psychologist, she has worked with different age groups including both adolescents and adults in public and private clinical settings. Before moving to Dubai in 2023 to join ACPN, Ms. Sefa worked in Australia as Senior Clinical Psychologist. Her role encompassed leading clinical supervision for psychology teams and training graduate psychologists, to providing psychological assessments, formulation of treatment plans and implementation of evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, EMDR, Schema Therapy and Dialectic Behavior Therapy for individuals and groups. Over the years, she worked in various capacities in the private to public sectors in AustraliaMs. Sefa’s areas of expertise include working with adolescents and adults experiencing challenges including anxiety, depression, adjustment related disorders, stress management, PTSD, complex trauma, grief, emotional dysregulation, and personality difficulties specifically borderline personality disorder (BPD).
