Dr. Rafik Ramzy Ghattas Salib is a Specialist in Internal Medicine at Medcare Hospital, Sharjah. He completed his MBBS at the Qasr El-Eyni Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt. He also obtained a Master’s degree in Internal Medicine and completed his training in the field in several teaching hospitals in Cairo. Ain Shams University Cairo in 2008. He had also done an additional diploma in Infection Prevention and Control from Arab Institute for Continuing Professional Development.With over two decades of experience in Internal Medicine, Dr. Salib has worked in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. He began his career as a Resident in Internal Medicine at Cairo, Egypt and then continued working as a Specialist at the Ahmed Maher Teaching Hospital. Later, he worked as an Internal Medicine Specialist at the Saudi Airlines Medical Centre in Jeddah. Subsequently, he moved to the UAE and has been practising as an Internal Medicine Specialist at reputed hospitals like the Zulekha Hospital in Dubai and the Saudi German Hospital in Sharjah.Dr. Salib’s area of expertise covers the treatment of all conditions under the broad spectrum of Internal Medicine, including those related to gastroenterology, endocrinology, haematology and neurology or are cardiovascular, chest, and musculoskeletal in nature. He treats hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, ischaemic heart disease, acute and chronic respiratory infection, asthma, infectious disease, Irritable Bowel Disease (IBD), fatty liver, thyroid disease, diabetes, anaemia, headaches, migraine, back pain, hyperglycemia, cerebrovascular and autoimmune disease.He speaks Arabic and English.
