Dr. Preetha Sivam

Ms. Preetha Paramasivam is a BSc physiotherapy from the University of Madras, India and started her career as a physiotherapist at Lady Wellingdon hospital and Mercury nursing home, Chennai.Ms. Paramasivam then worked as physiotherapist for H.E. Mohammed Syed Almulla (former minister of telecommunications), Dubai before joining Almousa Medical Centre in Jumeirah. She was a chief physiotherapist at Emirates hospital, Jumeirah. She has a life Membership of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (M.I.A.P) and is a member of the Emirates Medical Association.Her expertise can be seen in adopting new techniques in treating musculoskeletal disorders including back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee ankle together with sports injuries. She treats various types of arthritis including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and polyarthritis. She has a special interest in treating women's health disorders and is excellent at pre and post operative rehabilitation of orthopaedic and neurological disorders including ACL, meniscectomy, hip, knee, ankle and shoulder including stroke, and peripheral nerve injuries. She also does geriatric rehabilitation including chest physiotherapy and early mobilisation.
