Ms. Iva Vukusic

Ms. Iva Vukusic is a Clinical Psychologist at ACPN. She achieved her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Psychology from University of Rijeka, Croatia in 2010 and 2012 respectively. Ms. Vukusic completed four years of training in systemic family therapy from the School of Cybernetics and Systems Therapy, a member of European Family Therapy Association (EFTA). Additionally, she completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy from ICEEFT, and training in community-based mental health care by the Croatian Institute of Public Health & the Trimbos Institute, Netherlands. Ms. Vukusic is a licensed psychologist in Croatia and the UAE.Ms. Vukusic has over eight years of experience in outpatient mental health services. Her early career started out at the Clinical Hospital Center Rijeka, Croatia, as a Psychology Intern for a year till 2014. She went on to work at the Teaching Institute of Public Health, Croatia for five years before moving to the UAE in 2019. Her last appointment saw her at Lifeworks Holistic Counseling Center, Dubai where she provided psychological assessment, counseling, and psychotherapy to adolescents and adults until 2021.Ms. Vukusic helped psycho-educate teenagers about mental health in the National Mental Health Awareness Program of Croatia. She actively delivers counseling services through Employee Assistance Program in clinical and corporate settings. She is skilled at screening, assessments, counseling, treatment planning, and psychotherapy for conditions such as anxiety, mood, psychotic, adjustment, stress-related and somatoform disorders, substance and behavioral addictions, grief and loss, existential dilemmas, relationship problems, and personal growth. Using a solution-driven psychotherapy method, she uses both talk therapy as well as indirect hypnotherapeutic approach to treatment.
