Dr. Riza Alathankandy

Dr. Riza A V is an audiology specialist. He is qualified as a doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) and has an MSc in Audiology & Speech Language Pathology. He has also completed a Diploma in Psychological Counselling & Guidance. Dr. Riza A V has taught audiology at a multispecialty medical college and has worked as an audiologist at Siemens Hearing Care.Dr. Riza A V is Board Certified in Audiology by the American Board. He is a member of the Rehabilitation Council of India & ISHA. He has been awarded a Fellowship from the American Academy of Audiology, and is a member of the Cochlear Implant Group of India.Dr. Riza A V is an expert at the evaluation & interpretation of diagnostic audiological procedures including audiogram, tympanogram, brain stem evoked response audiometry, ASSR, and oto acoustic emission. He provides diagnosis and management of speech and language disorders. He prescribes and fits digital and computer programmable hearing aids, completely ‘in the canal’ invisible hearing aids, deep canal hearing aids and insertion gain measurements. He provides swimmers ear plugs, ear protection plugs and ear moulds. He also consults on paediatric audiology. He carries out a central auditory processing assessment (CAPD).Dr. Riza A V enjoys travelling, reading, and music. He speaks English, Hindi, Malayalam, and Urdu.
