Ms. Aakriti Mahindra

Aakriti completed Masters in Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Psychology and a Masters in Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from Amity University, Noida, India. During her course of education, she has been trained in the use of various psychotherapeutic modalities, including CBT and psychological assessment including intelligence, educational difficulties, developmental, personality and neuropsychological assessment. Aakriti is a Licensed Clinical and Educational Psychologist in Dubai registered with the Dubai Healthcare Authority (DHA), Community Development Authority CDA, Dubai, UAE) and Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI, India) with experience of more than a decade.Her area of expertise is in psychological testing with children, young adolescents and adults; she is skilled and experienced in conducting comprehensive Cognitive/Academic Assessments and other conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactive/Inattentive Disorder (ADHD/ADD), Autism, Behavioural /Emotional/Development disorder.Along with the assessment she has had extensive experience and interest to treat a plethora of mental health and psycho-social issues, such as depression, parent-child relationships, challenging behaviors, school avoidance, learning difficulties and peer relationships, along with this she provides direct support and interventions to students, consult with teachers, and other school-employed mental health professionals (i.e., school counsellors, school social workers) to improve support strategies, classroom management. Apart from being a full-time clinical and child psychologist, her areas of interest extend to helping people overcome the stigmas related to mental health and wellness. Over the years of my training, counselling and practice experience, she conducted live sessions on news channel and radio stations on topics like – Stress, Relationship issues, Mindful Emotions, Behaviour modification, etc.
