Dr. Wassim Shatila is an American Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist in charge of our structural cardiology program.He received his American Board of Cardiology in 2017 and his American Board of Interventional Cardiology in 2018.After completing his medical school, he finished his residency in Internal Medicine at Duke University Medical Center, which is one of the top hospitals in the USA. He then completed his fellowship in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Texas Heart Institute/Baylor College of Medicine. The latter is a top heart center where the first heart transplant has been performed and the largest cardiac catheterization lab was housed.In addition to completing his training in prominent institutions in North America, Dr Shatila has over 25 peer-reviewed medical publications. He is a Fellow in both the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular and Interventional.
