Dr. Wagdy Mikhail

Dr. Wagdy Mikhail is a highly experienced Medical Gastroenterologist, currently practicing at Al Tadawi Specialty Hospital LLC in Dubai. A graduate of Alexandria University (MBBChB, 1972), he further trained in Internal Medicine in Kuwait and the UK. He played a key role in establishing the Digestive Disease & Endoscopy Unit at Rashid Hospital and has performed more than 30,000 upper and 20,000 lower diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies. His areas of expertise include management of liver disorders—including hepatitis and post-transplant follow-up—esophageal diseases, colorectal cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, motility disorders, and advanced diagnostics like video capsule endoscopy and Fibroscan. Dr. Mikhail has also served as Secretary General and later President of the Emirates Gastroenterology Society (2007–2009), in addition to lecturing at the Dubai Medical College for Girls.
