Dr. Vladimir Tchouprine

Dr. Vladimir Tchouprine is a highly experienced ophthalmic surgeon with over 30 years of expertise, currently practicing in Dubai. He earned his MD and PhD from Moscow Medical University and completed advanced training in cornea and cataract surgery at the Eye Microsurgery Institute in Moscow. Board-certified since 1990 in Russia and since 1996 by the Dubai Health Authority, he has pioneered and refined numerous surgical techniques, being among the first in the Middle East to perform ICL, corneal ring implantation, and corneal cross-linking, and introducing simultaneous keratoplasty with cataract and intraocular lens implantation. Dr. Tchouprine performs a wide range of procedures, including phacoemulsification cataract surgery, corneal transplants, refractive surgeries such as LASIK and PRK, management of keratoconus with advanced techniques, glaucoma surgery, YAG laser therapy, intravitreal injections, trauma repair, and vitreoretinal procedures. He has held senior leadership roles across major UAE institutions, including as Head of Department at Saudi German and International Modern Hospitals, and has served as a specialist ophthalmologist at Fakeeh University Hospital and Al Zahra Hospital. A respected member of the Emirates and Russian Ophthalmology Societies and a fellow of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, Dr. Tchouprine is known for his surgical innovation, compassionate care, and exceptional outcomes, with transformative procedures that have restored vision for many patients.
