Dr. Vivek Misra

Dr. Vivek Misra is a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon with the Al Barsha and Jumeirah Beach Road (JBR) branches of Medcare Medical Centre. He did his MBBS and MS (Orthopaedics) from the well-known Institute of Medical Science, Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi. He completed an Arab Spine Course Diploma (ASCD) from Dubai and also underwent training in Arthroscopy at Strasbourg, France. He is a life member of the Indian Orthopaedic Association.He has spent over two decades in the field of Orthopaedics, garnering extensive experience and excellent skills. During the nascency of his career, he worked as a Senior Resident, at Holy Family Hospital, New Delhi and then as a Consultant with Rama Super Speciality Hospital and Medical College, Kanpur, India. Subsequently, he relocated to the UAE and joined Zulekha Hospital, Sharjah as a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon. Later he worked with Aster Medical Centre (and Hospital) and HealthHub Clinics in a similar capacity.Dr. Misra has a special interest in cervical and lumbar disc disorders and he provides both surgical and non-surgical treatment for it. He has successfully treated patients with orthopaedic trauma, spine disorders, sports injuries and arthritic conditions. He has managed rheumatoid conditions, paediatric orthopaedic conditions, all kinds of trauma, arthroplasty, shoulder and knee arthroscopy, degenerative conditions and ligamentous injuries. He takes great pride in providing focused and holistic care to his patients. He strongly believes that treatment outcomes are better when the patients are involved in the decision-making process.What he enjoys most during his free time is, spending time with friends, going for long drives, playing Badminton, going Hiking and doing Yoga. He speaks Arabic, English and Hindi.
