Dr. Tulika Shukla

Dr. Tulika Shukla is a DHA certified specialist psychiatrist with over 10 years of experience. She completed her MD in Psychiatry from the prestigious National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, where she trained in child and adolescent psychiatry. She has worked extensively with conditions like Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, conduct disorder, childhood anxiety, depressive disorders, childhood OCD,eating disorders and various neuropsychiatric conditions which affect the paediatric population. In her wealth of experience, Dr Thulika has worked at AIIMS, New Delhi as a senior resident and a psychiatrist working closely with the child psychiatry unit where she authored a chapter on child psychopharmacology. She was also part of an international project with the NIHR, UK, working on recovery after the first episode of psychosis.Dr. Tulika adopts a family-based approach when it comes to working with children and adolescents as she believes that when a child has difficulties, it is essential to work with parents and caregivers in a collaborative way. She specializes in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) as part of her psychotherapeutic interventions for issues like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Self-harm, and behavioural issues in adolescents.Dr Tulika has been practicing in Dubai as a specialist psychiatrist for more than 3 years now and works closely with various educational institutions to provide mental health support and advocacy. She collaborates with schools and colleges to develop mental health awareness and mental well-being programs for children, parents, and school staff.
