Dr. Suhail Alrukn

Dr. Suhail Abdulla AlRukn has an enriching experience of 15 years in neurology. He has diverse educational qualifications spanning institutes across Canada and UAE, including that from the University of McGill, and subsequently the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons (Canada).Dr. AlRukn is credited for establishing the 1st certified stroke unit in UAE. His field of interest is principally directed toward acute stroke management, stroke unit establishment, and post-stroke rehabilitation.Currently, he is the President of the MENA Stroke Organization, and of the Emirates Neurology Society. Previously, he also held the position of the President of the World Congress of Neurology. Additionally, Dr. AlRukn is the Founder and the Chairman of the Neurology Residency Program in Dubai since 2013. Also, he is the Chairman of the Dubai Scientific & Research Ethical Committee.Due to his interest in academics, Dr. AlRukn regularly speaks at both local and international healthcare events and has many publications in his name. He currently sits on the executive boards of various scientific associations, steering committees, and advisory boards, mainly focusing on the area of stroke & headache management, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia.
