Dr. Sonia Chaudhary

Dr. Sonia Chaudhary is an obstetrics & gynaecologist in Dubai who completed her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Government Medical College in Patiala, India. She has completed the training on Advanced and Basic Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynaecology Under FOGSI at Apollo Hospital, Delhi. Dr. Chaudhary’s gained valuable work experience from her work with the Punjab Health Govt. Services. She fulfilled the responsibility of a trainer under a WHO training programme for medical and paramedical staff. She has also been associated with Victoria Govt Hospital in Seychelles. Dr. Sonia Chaudhary is a member of the Indian Medical Council, the All India Congress of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (AICOG), the International Federation of Gynaecology & Obstetrics (FIGO) and the Emirates Medical Association. Dr. Chaudhary’s areas of expertise include pre pregnancy counselling in high risk and normal pregnancies. She provides complete antenatal, intranatal and postnatal care in normal and high risk pregnancies.She is an expert at all aspects of obstetrics, including normal vaginal delivery, instrumental delivery, elective and emergency caesarean section. She performs all major and minor gynaecological procedures like diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy, D&C, endometrial sampling, bartholin cyst drainage, laproscopic and open surgeries for ovarian cyst, ectopic pregnancies and fibroids, repair of cystocele and rectocele. Dr. Chaudhary conducts cancer screening and management using pap smear, coloscopy and LLETZ. She advises on family planning and procedures like IUCD insertion and removal, transdermal implant insertion and removal, reproductive health awareness and counselling, treatment of STD, infertility counselling, basic investigations and follicular studies. She provides advise on adolescent and menopause related questions, and helps patients to manage gynaecological endocrine disorders like PCOD.Dr. Chaudhary loves to travel, read and dance, and is interested in observing different cultures. She speaks English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu.
