Dr. Sathishkumar Kaliappa

Dr.Sathish Kumar Thirumurthy Kaliappa is a General Surgeon working with the Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital in Dubai and Medcare Hospital in Sharjah. He completed his MBBS from the Sri Ramachandra Medical College in Chennai, India and his MS, specializing in General Surgery from the Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore, India.During the initial years of his career, he joined PSG Institute Of Medical Sciences and Research and PSG Hospitals, Coimbatore, India as an Assistant Professor and Consultant Surgeon, then rose to the position of Associate Professor and Professor at the same Institute. He then joined Karpagam Faculty of Medical Sciences and Research as a Professor and Consultant Surgeon, before relocating to the UAE. Here, he was appointed as a Specialist in General Surgery at Zulekha Hospital, Sharjah and Dubai and then at NMC Royal Hospital, Sharjah.Dr. Sathish Kumar has spent over two decades, using his skills and proficiency in General and Laparoscopic Surgery to treat his patients. His expertise ranges from basic and advanced laparoscopic and open surgical procedures like laparoscopic bariatric procedures, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic appendicectomy, laparoscopic inguinal and ventral hernia repairs to laparoscopic intestinal and bowel and gastric surgeries. He has successfully performed surgeries of the breast, thyroid and varicose veins including EVLT, thyroidectomy, advanced treatment options for haemorrhoids, anal fistula and anal fissures and upper and lower G.I. endoscopies.
