Dr. Sana Faiyaz Ahmed (Physiotherapist)

Ms. Sana Faiyaz Ahmed is a Physiotherapist at the Palm Jumeirah branch of Medcare Medical Centre. She has done her BPT and Master's in Neuro-musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. She is certified in NDT & Bobath Techniques, Vestibular Dysfunction and Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, and Basic Life Support. She also holds a Diploma in Human Nutrition. She is a member of the Indian Association of Physiotherapy.Ms. Ahmed had worked at the Marina branch of Medcare before moving to the Palm Jumeirah branch. She practices Occupational and Physical Therapy which are two types of rehabilitative care. These improve a patient’s quality of life by addressing the different aspects of physical health and daily functioning.Her expertise covers dry needling and cupping therapy, Kinesiology taping, and manual release and manipulation therapy. She treats musculoskeletal and sports injuries, pre and post-surgical rehabilitation, neuro-muscular rehabilitation, joint pains, TMJ rehabilitation, cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation and pelvic floor rehabilitation, and performs gait analysis, ergonomics and posture correction. She treats both adults and paediatrics and is interested in women’s health and pain management.In her spare time, Ms. Ahmed enjoys travelling, catching up on her reading and listening to music. She speaks English, Hindi and Marathi.
