Dr. Saman Abdulkareem is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Orthopaedic and Traumatology Department of the Mirdif City Centre, Jumeira and Khawaneej branches of Medcare Medical Centre. He obtained his MBChB (Bachelor Degree In Medicine) from Almustansriyah University - Faculty Of Medicine in Baghdad, Iraq. He also acquired a Swedish Board qualification in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery. He is a member of the Swedish Medical Association and the Iraqi Medical Association.Dr. Abdulkareem has worked in reputed hospitals across Sweden and UAE. He spent many years at Vasteras Hospital as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Sweden before moving to the UAE where he practised at different hospitals in UAE. He has rich experience in sports injuries, hip and knee replacement, meniscus treatment, and conservative shoulder and spine treatment.Dr. Saman Abdulkareem is proficient at treating acute fractures, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendon rupture, heel spurs and inflammation. He has successfully performed hand surgery for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, trigger finger, lipoma and ganglion (bible cyst). His expertise covers major joint reconstruction, primary knee replacement surgery, and total hip replacement surgery.Dr. Saman Abdulkareem also performs conservative and surgical procedures for simple and complex fractures of the lower and upper extremities.
