Dr. Salil Vengsarkar

Dr. Salil A Vengsarkar is a Specialist in General Surgery working at Medcare Royal. He completed his MBBS from the prestigious Sion Hospital in Mumbai and did his Masters from the world-renowned K.E.M and Tata Cancer Hospitals in Mumbai. He holds a Fellowship of the Association of Indian Surgeons (FAIS). He is a member of the Indian Medical Association, the Association of Surgeons of India, the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India, the Asia Pacific Hernia Society and the Emirates Medical Association.Dr. Vengsarkar has almost three decades of rich working experience across Mumbai and the UAE. He was unit Head and Consultant Surgeon at MGM and NMMC Group of Hospitals in Navi Mumbai before venturing out overseas to Australia and Singapore where he trained extensively and worked in specialized minimally invasive surgery (GI, Colorectal and Vascular). His keen interest in the field of proctology, varicocele and varicose veins led him to seek advanced training in laser surgery at St Elizabeth Hospital Cologne Germany, Tunisia and Latvia at centres of excellence. After relocating to Dubai, he first worked as a Specialist Surgeon with the New Medical Centre Specialty Hospital, then the Thumbay Hospital LLC. He has spent nearly two decades in the UAE working with Lifeline Hospital, Kings College Hospital London, the Saudi German Hospital, the Laven Clinic Group and the Emirates Speciality Hospital.
