Dr. Saher Arour

Dr. Saher Arour is an expert at vascular surgery in the General Surgery department at Medcare with a number of specialised qualifications from Germany to his credit and work experience at various hospitals in Germany.Dr Arour was the head of vascular and endovascular surgery department, City Hospital Soest before joining Medcare Hospitals. Dr. Arour holds an MD in General and Visceral Surgery. He is certified as a senior consultant in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery from Germany, and as an Endovascular Surgeon and Specialist by the German Society for Vascular Surgery (DGG). He has qualified as a Medical Wound Therapist by the German Society of Wound Therapy (DGfW), and holds a Certificate of Heart Pacemaker, Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) and Cardiac Resynchronization (CRT) Therapy awarded by the German Society for Cardiology (DGK e.V).The procedures performed by Dr. Arour include vascular and endovascular interventional surgery. He is an expert at the endovascular treatment of aortic dissections and aneurysms involving the thoracic (TEVAR ie. Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair) and abdominal aorta. He performs open surgical repair of aneurysms affecting the aorta in the abdomen and pelvis. He performs limb salvage surgeries and angioplasty, endovascular open treatment of the carotid artery and atherectomy for chronic total arterial occlusion (CTO). Dr. Arour treats a variety of conditions such as venous disease, varicose veins, ischemic diabetic foot ulcers or gangrene. He also performs AV access procedures for renal failure patients, dialysis – catheter.
