Dr. Rekha Naresh Kumar Mandan

Dr. Rekha Mandhan is a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her MBBS from Liaquat University of Medical and Health Science and a Diploma in Obstetrics and Women’s Health (DOWH). She is a Board-certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) from the USA and has certifications in PROMPT 3 Training conducted by RCOG, UK and in Ultrasound of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS), Karachi and a member of the Royal College of Physicians, Ireland (MRCPI).Dr. Mandhan started her career in Pakistan with the Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences. She then joined the Defense Diagnostic Center as a Resident Medical Officer. Later, she moved to Oman as an RMO with the Ministry of Health and worked as a Medical Officer at Hajra Memon Welfare General Hospital. Subsequently, she relocated to the UAE, working at various hospitals including Prime Hospital, Klinika Maharlika, Dubai, part of the Emirates healthcare group, iCare Clinic, Discovery Gardens and Al Zahra Private Hospital as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. With over two decades of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr. Mandhan’s expertise covers complete antenatal care for all pregnancies, including comprehensive care of patients in their diet, exercise and lactational support. She has successfully managed normal and assisted vaginal delivery, caesarean section, dilatation and evacuation of uterus for miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, pelvic pain and endometriosis, menstrual problems, hormonal imbalance and heavy vaginal bleeding. She performs hysteroscopy for the removal of polyps, adhesiolysis and septum resection, and colposcopy and cone biopsy for the management of premalignant conditions. She does screening for cervical cancer through a pap smear, HPV testing and vaccination and provides contraceptive advice, counselling & insertion and removal of IUCD. She also manages PCO and infertility, infections, vaginal discharge, Sexually Transmitted Disease, menopausal conditions and HRT. During her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking and spending quality time with her family. She speaks Arabic, English, Hindi, Sindhi and Urdu.
