Dr Rajamanickam Jayaraj brings a wealth of experience as a UK-trained Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Pulmonologist. With an impressive 25-year career in general paediatrics and paediatric pulmonology, he has worked at the consultant level in renowned UK hospitals such as Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, University Hospital of Wales, and James Cook University Hospital. His expertise extends to setting up, developing, and expanding paediatric respiratory services, earning him tertiary-level accreditation.Dr Jayaraj completed his undergraduate studies in India before moving to the UK, where he trained at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. Over his extensive career, he has held significant roles, including the Director of Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis service at James Cook University Hospital.In addition to his clinical work, Dr Jayaraj is passionate about medical education and research. He has been actively involved in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has worked with various allied health professionals. He has also served as an examiner for undergraduate and postgraduate exams in the UK and has led several research studies as principal investigator, with publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
