Dr. Rahul Shinde

Dr. Rahul Shinde is a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Department of Orthopaedics at the Meadows and Marina branches of Medcare Medical Centre. He completed his MBBS from the renowned BJ Medical College in Pune, India. He then went on to acquire a post-graduate Diploma in Orthopaedics from RMC Loni and a Diplomate from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, both in India. He is a Fellow in Trauma Surgery (AO Techniques) Joint Replacement and Arthroscopy from Germany. He is a member of the Indian Orthopaedic Association, Dubai branch, the Maharashtra Orthopaedic Association, Mumbai and the Pune Orthopaedic Society, Pune, India.Dr. Shinde commenced his sterling career as a Senior Registrar in Traumatology and Joint Replacement at Bhatia Hospital and then at Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences, both in Mumbai. Subsequently, he spent some time as a Lecturer in Orthopaedics at Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, Pune, India. Before relocating to the UAE, he was a Consultant Trauma Specialist and Orthopaedic Surgeon, visiting various hospitals like Ratna Hospital, Joshi Hospital, Shashwat Hospital, Jupiter Hospital and Sanjeevan Hospital in Pune, India. He joined iCARE Multispeciality Clinics in Dubai as a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon. He has a special interest in clinical orthopaedics, trauma surgery, paediatric orthopaedics, general orthopaedics, ergonomics and rehabilitation and conservative spine treatment. Dr. Shinde has successfully treated patients with osteoarthritis of the knee, chondromalacia and knee pain, spondylosis and disc prolapse of the cervical and lumbar spine, neck and low back pain, shoulder impingement and cuff disorders, shoulder pain, tennis elbow and elbow pain, fractures and dislocations of the extremities, foot and ankle disorders, sprains, Tenosynovitis, wrist and hand disorders and injuries, radial styloiditis and CTS. He is proficient in treating conditions like osteoporosis in geriatrics, fibromyalgia and ergonomics, costochondritis, paediatrics fractures, flat foot and knock knees, foot pain, neuralgia, knee ligament and meniscal injuries and muscle strains and tears.
