Dr. Preetham Unni

Dr. Preetham Madhavan Unni is a Specialist Orthodontist in the Dental section of Medcare Hospital, practising at the Al Safa, and at the Jumeirah - MMC. He completed his BDS at the College of Dental Surgery, located in Manipal, India. He further augmented his education with an MDS from the KLE College of Dental Sciences in India and a Lingual Orthodontic Certification from Dortmund in Germany. Dr. Madhavan is also Invisalign certified. Dr. Madhavan is proficient in the treatment of all types of malocclusions in adults and children. In the correction of developing skeletal and dental problems in children, he has successfully used functional jaw orthopaedic appliances. He has treated malocclusions in adults with orthodontic braces, lingual braces and aligners (Invisalign), and handled conditions related to crowded, misaligned, and protruding teeth. Gummy smiles, deep bites, overbites and underbites, anterior and posterior crossbites, tongue thrusts, thumb sucking in children, and abnormal swallowing patterns are some other dental problems managed by him.Dr. Madhavan loves playing the Guitar and has been involved in electronic music production; he even produced a car and country show on Amazon Prime U.K. He speaks English, Hindi and Malayalam fluently.
