Dr. Pinelopi Kleio Palaska

Dr. Kleio is an American Board-certified orthodontist. She received her DDS in dentistry in 2007 from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. In 2008, she moved to Boston, USA where she was a research associate for two years at Harvard University at the Departments of Experimental Medicine and Oral Epidemiology. In 2013, she completed her Masters in Orthodontics from Tufts University in Boston. She has also completed a fellowship in orthodontics for children with cleft lip and palate and craniofacial anomalies at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.She was a clinical instructor at the postgraduate orthodontic program at Dental School in Athens- Greece for two years and has worked in several countries including Canada, Greece, France, and the UAE. Dr. Kleio’s areas of expertise in orthodontics include interceptive/early/phase I orthodontic treatment, metal and clear braces, Invisalign, hybrid orthodontic treatment, orthognathic cases and orthodontics for children and adults with cleft lip and cleft palate.Dr. Kleio has carried out research on a vast array of topics in dentistry. Her subjects of research include bisphosphonates and osteonecrosis of the jaw, the possible association between medication during pregnancy and the development of cleft lip and palate and the dental anomalies associated with Pierre Robin sequence.She has also delivered lectures on the orthodontic management of patients with cleft lip and cleft palate, and pre-infant orthopedics. She keeps herself up to date with the latest advancements in orthodontics by attending continuing education seminars, study clubs and conferences every year
