Dr. Mohamed Shafeeq

Dr. Mohamed Shafeeq is a Specialist in Internal Medicine at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital. He completed his MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine from Sri Siddhartha Medical College, Karnataka, India. He is highly skilled in Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Emergency Medicine, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Infection Control and Healthcare Information Technology (HIT). He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Education, Manipal, India.During the initial years of his career, Dr. Shafeeq worked as a Specialist Registrar in the ICU department of Aster MIMS, Calicut, India garnering good experience and training in invasive and non-invasive procedures as well as mechanical ventilation. He later worked as a Specialist Physician at Modern Multispecialty Hospital, Kannur, Kerala, India. After relocating to the UAE, he worked as a Specialist in Internal Medicine at Rashid Hospital and Medeor Hospital, both in Dubai. Before joining Medcare, he was attached to the Fakeeh University Hospital located in the Dubai Silicon Oasis.Dr. Shafeeq treats acute and chronic respiratory problems, diabetes, infectious diseases, cardiovascular diseases, headaches and other neurological conditions, thyroid issues, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, asthma, digestive disorders, acute illness, arthritis and other rheumatologic conditions. He believes in preventive medicine and provides geriatric care and travel vaccinations too.
