Dr. Mohamed Metwally

Dr. Mohamed Attia Metwally is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over two decades of experience in Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed his bachelor degree, Master’s Degree and a PhD degree in Orthopaedic Surgery from Cairo University, Egypt. He is a member of the Egyptian Orthopaedic Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, the AO Alumni Association and the Emirates Orthopaedic Association.Dr. Attia started his career as an Orthopaedic surgery resident in Cairo University Hospital and then after a short stint as an orthopaedic surgery specialist in Cairo University Specialized Hospital in Egypt. He was trained and specialized in hip & knee joint replacement, knee and shoulder sports injuries in Cairo University hospitals as he completed his Master’s degree and PhD in Orthopaedic Surgery.He then relocated to the UAE where he has spent more than a decade, performing more than 1000 surgeries, establishing himself as a Consultant in Orthopaedic Surgery. He started in American Hospital then with Medcare Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital and the NMC Speciality and Royal Hospitals, Dubai. Emirates Hospital, Jumeirah and MedCare royal speciality hospital as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. Dr. Attia regularly attends conferences, keeps himself abreast of the latest advancements in his field and has published several articles. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling and reading.
